My free inquiry project this semester will be exploring how animals help students’ Social Emotional Learning (SEL) in and outside the classroom!

My goal is to learn more about the different ways animals can be incorporated into classrooms or how they are used to help students learn to regulate their emotions and develop their SEL.

This project means a lot to me because I have always loved animals and believe that they can help everyone. My dogs are my best friends and greatly influenced this research.

My hope by the end of this inquiry project is to determine if I should incorporate a classroom pet and how I can use them to help students improve their SEL and their academics. My main question is how can animals positively impact students, and how they can help students in and outside the classroom.

I’m super excited to start learning and can’t wait to show my findings!
